HOW CAN SYNTHETIC FIBERS AFFECT MY HOME?
Synthetic fibers are manmade textiles used to produce clothing and other fabrics usually derived from sources such as coal and petroleum. Some synthetic fibers include rayon, nylon, polyester, rubber, and spandex. Many household upholstery and textiles are made from these types of materials, including rugs and carpets.
Other than some instances of skin sensitivity, these synthetic fibers are generally considered to be more problematic if the dust, or fibers are inhaled. This exposure can happen when the synthetic materials are disrupted which produces dust of synthetic fibers.
